- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2018The premise of this graphic novel is that it's a collection of 6 comics that were published separately, each a separate story, each featuring (at least) one character from the DC universe and one from the Looney Toons world. The result is much better than it sounds. DC did a great job finding really good talent for these one shots.
Everyone involved is a major character, but it's interesting at how many aren't in there. There's no Flash or Aqua Man or Daffy Duck. Meanwhile we only get brief cameos of Green Lantern, Sylvester, Tweety and Porky. But the characters they did choose are brilliant and work even better off of each other than you'd think. I mean, Marvin the Martian and Martian Manhunter? That's brilliant! Yosemete Sam and Elmer Fudd really shine in here as well. There really isn't anyone I would take out to shoehorn in a more popular character. Below are the 6 stories and the creative teams found in the graphic novel:
Bugs Bunny meets the Legion of Super Heroes by Sam Humphries and Tom Grummett
Marvin the Marion and the Martian Manhunter by Steve Orlando, Frank, Barbiere and Aaron Lopresti
Tazmanian Devil and Wonder Woman by Tony Bedard and Barry Kitson
Wile E Coyote and Road Runner and Lobo by Bill Morrison and Kelly Jones
Yosemete Sam and Foghorn Leghorn and Jonah Hex by Jimmy Palmiotti and Mark Texeria
Elmer Fudd and Batman by Tom King and Lee Weeks
Each issue has a 'main story' done in a hyper realistic style (with the exception of Bugs and the Legion) running about 30 pages, and then each story is then followed by an 8 page story involving the same characters in a Looney Toon art style. Usually this is a follow up to the main story, except for the Legion and Bugs story which is basically just a retelling of the same story, for some reason.
The stories are arranged in the order I listed, and I'd say that's about the order of quality from least to best as well. So as you read through it, each story is a little better than the one you just read. Really all 6 stories are pretty good, but Batman and Elmer Fudd is just epic. Just look at this dialogue from the first page, it features Elmer Fudd in a hard boiled crime drama narrating the story:
"Sometimes the wain comes down so hard you forget you've ever been dwy"
"Going into Powky's that day, I twy my best to wemeber. I weawy do. Things weren't always this way. They won't always be this way."
"My name is Elmer Fudd. I'm hunting Wabbits."
"Shhhhhhhhh."
That's just awesome. I mean at this point, why are you still reading this? Go buy it now!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2021It's not all played for laughs. There are comedic moments for sure but these are quickly overshadowed (and at Times complimented) by the seriousness of the stand-alone stories. I like this moody and broody twist this crossover gives the Looney Tunes characters. It does it in such a way that doesn't detract from their personality traits and other things that have made them so memorable.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2023The mashup I never knew I wanted. But I did end up really wanting it! The Elmer Fudd story was the obvious highlight but there were a few good ones too like the Martian and Yosemite one. These stories are just fun and imaginative, if not the most deep.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2020This is a whole book of awesome crossovers between Warner Brother's longest running giants. I don't know why they don't do this more often. There should be an entire TV series dedicated to team ups between Looney Tunes and DC. This book proves that DC can be funny in a way that works while the Looney Tunes can get dark and edgy. Just ask Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam. We get to see Bugs' Bunny's biggest enemies in a different light. This book is definitely on the reading list for fans of both DC and Looney Tunes. Can't wait to read Vol 2.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2020I'm an avid Looney Tunes fan and love the content, but I was very disappointed that this came in with a bent corner.
Shipping speed and everything was wonderful.
I didn't see anything else wrong with it other than the back corner being creased (pictures included).

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2018I really had my doubts about this whole project, but it was rather fun. "Real life" Looney Tunes meeting "real life" DC Comics characters? It actually works. The gem of the book is the cover-featured "Batman vs Elmer Fudd," and I'd say that even if I didn't know the artist. (That issue in particular sold out around the country on the day of release, so it was highly anticipated. Rightfully so.)

- Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2021This was one of the most bizzare concepts I have ever come across. If you are a Looney Tunes fan from your youth, moved on to comics, especially when they became noir, you will love this series. The funniest part is when the art and story goes into Looney Tunes mode. Just as good as the old cartoons. Give it a try.

5.0 out of 5 stars That’s not all folks
Absolutely brilliant, especially the Eisner award winning Batman Elmer Fudd. This is just the best combination of comic and cartoons

5.0 out of 5 stars Bizarro y Divertido.

I know crossovers aren't for everybody, but I enjoyed this one and I recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars E p-p-por hoje é só pessoal...!
Quase todas as histórias são ótimas. Inteligente, divertido, politicamente incorreto e meio subversivo - como sempre foram os desenhos de Looney Tunes. Que venha mais!

4.0 out of 5 stars Looney Tunes mal nicht nur lustig!
