- Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2014Jeff Parker had a great idea. Why not have the bookworm battle Batgirl who just happens to be Gotham City's chief librarian, Barbara Gordon. So the book based villains breaks into the Gotham Public Library and Barbara changes into Batgirl via a secret passage in the library (never before seen in comic book or TV as far as I know) but hey it's Batman '66.
What follows is a fun battle between the two particularly as the Bookworm is at the library to steal a book of spells and apparently a slight variation of saying, "Adam West" and "Burt Ward" can turn them into book-eating monsters! So Batgirl has to save the library and stop the bookworm. The story is a pleasure to read and highly recommended.
